Garage at the bottom of the steps, 30 feet from the house. Would like to have an outside light on the garage with outdoor switch on the side of the garage, and two-way control from the house.
Is there a remote control that will save me having to run an additional 4-core SWA down to the garage?

What's wrong with a pir ?
Hardwired or wireless, I think the OP is looking for wireless option, most PIRs struggle at distances exceeding 12m, unless you start wafting the wonga!
But saying that the wireless option ain't going be bought cheaply!

Stick a light and pir on the house too
That will half the distance.

Maybe lights along the path would be better.

You could use an ELV ciruit for the switches and control a contactor or relay to switch the lamp with the ELV from a small power supply.

Then you can use alarm type cable for the run between house and garage.
