I want to add two way switching to lights to my hall.

The lights and switches are already there but just one way switching independent of each other

I would like to switch both lights to turn on when either switch pressed

I understand I need 3 core and earth cable between the two switches

Its the connection to the light itself I am unsure about

I understand how this operates one light
But how do I connect the other light

I could take a switch live from one ceiling rose to the other, but that would need chasing in
But I was wondering if I could connect as shown in my drawing
using the cables already in place, and linking with the 3 core?

Thats my drawing, I was unsure if the light on the right would work switched like that i.e the switch live coming from L2

If you have a neutral and live feeding the two lights as your diagram between lights, you can alter the perm live between light 1 and 2 by placing the looped live in the switch live of light one. Instead of it being a perm live it then becomes switch live and both lights will function as two way, providing you wire the switches up with three core. We also would like to see earths present.

Remove the Blue wire on the right from switch to light.

Connect the Brown and Blue from the second light to the Red and Black at the first light - plus earths, of course.
