Hi,

I'm in the process of laying a new block driveway. Just about finished putting the 150mm Type 1 (granite) down and have a couple of tons left over. I'm putting 100mm of lean mix on top of the type 1 before the sand screed and then the blocks. Over kill I know but it'll have a couple of heavy vans on it.

Can I mix the left over type 1 in to the lean mix to use it up?

Thanks.

You can , but I would just put on top of the other type 1 and wacker it down in 2 inch layers

I wouldn't use concrete below block paving as it may impede the drainage of rainwater, leaving the sand wet..
Block paving will take the vans weight, no probs.
