Hi all,

I've got a log burning stove with a 5 or 6" outlet, it's not fitted yet as I need to have the chimney linned. Is anyone able to give a typical cost for a stainless steel liner for a typical victorian end of terrace (7 meter, poss?)

I don't want to waste any tradesmen's time with quotes if I can't afford it.

Happy new year.

Thanks guys,

£315 for 7m inc labour, register plate, top clamp, clips, VAT etc?

That's not bad, I'd had a top of the head est price of £1000 from a fireplace shop.

I'm jesting with gas4you, who must mean for the liner only (or he knows of a chimney charity). Your fireplace shop is much nearer the mark.

End of Terrace ...Chimney on the gable :?: room for a narrow tower scaffold  Get yourself up there safely ...and just buy the liner from the shop ( and fitings) @ their Best Price

Sorry, getting confused  For a 2 storey chimney about £1000-£1500.

There is a lot more to do than just line the chimney on a wood burner.
