I have an old house to do. Its been coated many years ago with a cementitious grey tyrolean finish which is still in good condition no flaking.

The owner doesnt like the dull cement grey. Can this be painted succesfully with say a white Sandtex product, snowcem?

He asked if the coating can be cement rendered flat, left to cure and dry out and then painted with a gloss white paint (typically like the stucco faced georgian houses in Brighton for example

any tips gratefully received I dont want to make the wrong choice

cheers Robin

I`d say yes to both, but you`ve got to be good to get render flat, you only got to be patient to paint tyro
