Hi all,
I've got a wet underfloor heating system. The regulators on the flow side of the manifold are fitted with clear plastic sight glasses that indicate the flow rate through that loop. One of these had become murky so, following the manufacturer's instructions, I removed it and cleaned it.
Now, putting it back on, it's acting like a little upside down cupful of air - it's a (small) local high point and is half full of trapped gas. I've tried running just this loop and opening to maximum flow rate to see if the pump will pull the air out, but no good.
It's not a big issue. The heating is working, there appears to be no other air venting and the flow gauge is correctly indicating the flow, but it's a bit irritating having a water meniscus half way up the tube!
Is there any magic way of clearing this, short of running mains pressure through it as if I were refilling the loop from scratch? FWIW, the cold pressure in the system is 1.2 bar.
