All,

First post - so here goes.

I've noticed that my UFH pump comes on when the hot water circuit goes live. Is this normal or should I sort it? I've only noticed it as have just come to fit the actuator valves (after a two years!) and thought it was strange that the UFH pump was running when only the hot water circuit was on.

The set up I have is a JG UH3 with separate hot water (Drayton) and central heating timers (Salus); plus three UFH circuits (controlled by 2 x JGPRTE's). My hot water is stored in a mega-flow (with its own thermostat).

Let me know - many thanks.

No, obviously not correct.
I imagine who ever wired it all up did not know what they were doing as is often the case.

Thanks Cider - that was my fear! I can see that a switched live is coming from the Water Controller and into the Zone 1 'bank' and this doesn't correspond to the JG UH3 wiring diagram (it should be in the Time Clock bank). I did try and move the SL to the correct pin in the Time Clock 'bank' but it didn't work. The Water Controller is taking its power from the Time lock 'bank' which again is not per the wiring diagram, but I assumed that moving the Live and Neutral (to the correct bank) wouldn't make too much difference. Would you know if this a a sound assumption?

Also, should I hold off adding the actuators as the pump will be pumping against closed actuators in some circumstances?[/img]
