I picked up a comment that it wont be possible to contain it until a large proportion of the population has caught it. Rather large range 40 to 80%, also seen 60% mentioned for other reasons. At that point the worst is over so it's a case of making it take long enough to treat people as they get infected.

Makes a certain amount if sense assuming the vast majority hardly suffer at all from catching it. This maybe why the word herd has been used.

More restrictions now as far more infected people that can infect others. They should be able to get an idea how many people have had mild symptoms from data from other countries. London messes this up though IMHO as it's well ahead of other areas.
