Have to ask a silly question

Yesterday and today I have been unable to access my incoming e-mail messages in OE. I am getting 'timed out' (error code 0x8000CCC19). I have delved round for information and see that one of the reasons may be that someone is trying to send me a very large attachment. How do I find out if this is the case ?

I have tried sending a message from OE and that works as normal so OE doesn't seem to have turned up its toes generally. Any advice will be very gratefully received !

If it is an email with a very large attachment you can use mail2web and see what is stuck on your server.
http://www.mail2web.com/
Just fill in the boxes and it will open your email box on your server and you can see if there is a problem there. If a big attachment, delete it. Then when your email is all back to normal email the sender and call him/her a plonker.
If it is pictures then recommend they fit and use Picture Resizer from:

Thank you very much, dave.m ! That sounds just what I was looking for.
I will have a look now and also print off your response for the future.

I know a lot of plonkers, but they have never done this to me before
