under floor insulation

i have an old 1930s house single brick wall.
Under the ground floor there is cavity about four feet deep and covers all the ground floor .The room is carpeted and i dont wont to take it all up any suggestions?
The air bricks venting the space are about off the ground so it is possable to drill through...

If you want it insulated you will have to make a hole in the floor somewhere, you only need to lift the carpet in a corner somewhere and create a hole big enough to fit down. I suppose you could make a hole in the wall beneath floor level but seems a bit mad to me. Plenty of threads on here regarding underfloor insulation. Have a little trawl through.
