Hi
I'm doing a load of work on the ground floor - extension, full re-wire, plumbing, so most of the flooring will need to come up.
Therefore I am considering insulating as I will be putting laminate flooring down and NEVER want to pull the floor - unless there is a disaster!!

What material should i use and how should I support it between the joists?
I was thinking 75mm kingspan sitting on battens screwed to the underside of the joists?

What have others done and how difficult and costly is it?
Many thanks

You were nearly right on the money, fix it beneath the boards instead. 70mm will obviously be better than 25mm although maybe not a great deal, difficult to put into words really, in the grand scheme of everything you're doing though is it that much more? //www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=184592

Possibly a cheaper way is to use a flexible insulation like Rockwool the full depth of the joists although you need to suspend the insulation with wire netting or similar fixed to the underside of the joists so may be more labour intensive.

Cheers Freddy - I'm liking the cheaper option loads.
Can you recommend a good supplier for the Rockwool and the netting?
Thanks
