I'm shortly erecting a gazebo with open gable ends. The roof will have T&G over the rafters, then counter battens, membrane, tile battens then clay tiles.
I don't want a barge board at the gable as that'd hide the oak frame.
Is it possible to have the undercloak board under the counter battens or will that make far too big a gap to mortar..?
Am I stuck with a barge board or oak trim to cover the gap if the undercloak has to go over the counter battens?
Thanks for any help/advice
