Any advice on what should be done with plastic conduits before painting them with matt emulsion? They are covered in some old paint, but only partially. I wonder how well matt emulsion paint will stick onto it…?

Give them a rub down with very fine abrasive paper or one of those green scouring cloths..that should provide enough of a key for the emulsion.

So you are saying that emulsion will stick onto the plastic even where the old paint has come off?

Ah when you said partially I thought you meant just badly cut in..if theres a lot on the conduit and its flaking off thenyou need to remove all of it first before you prepare the surface.
