I've bought a new house with electric UFH in a large kitchen/diner (covered by limestone tiles). Work was done as part of a garage conversion for which the previous owners didn't get BC sign-off.
Insulation where it's visible is poor (e.g. just stud wall to cold garage), and first electricity bill has been astronomical. Am sorting out the obvious stuff, but now suspicious that no insulation has gone in beneath the UFH.
Is there any way I can find out, without destroying it?
