Am i right in thinking that these are thermostats or just heating controls?

does anyone know if i can do a straight swap with these units with something a bit more modern?

i tried to find the original manafactures but came up with nothing.

I lived in a 1960s flat with underfloor electric heating and those thermostats. I think that there is a good chance that any standard thermostat with adequate current rating will do the job, just check that there are no extra wires for temperature sensors in the floor.

Is the make actually Maclaren?

Hi

Thanks for the reply

That company doesnt seem to sell elec heating items though. im not sure they are the right people but i will call them on tuesday and ask anyway.

does anyone know where else might sell this sort of thing?

We are selling the flat and trying to make it look as modern as possible and these might let the whole look down

OIC

ok i will have a look at the unit and see what wires i have.

I guess that i can just swap the old analogue for a digital type if the wires in the back are all the same?
