Going on from my earlier query, I have ordered a Howdens kitchen, but with a local granite worktop company for worktop and full height upstands
I got a quote for the install of the units only and it is about £4K. I don't know if that is "normal" (comments), but I am now pretty much retired I am inclined to DIY.
I may be back for some help!

The difference between the LTV DIY and for the same firm is well over £1K, to a prepared floor, no levelling required so, again, I am inclined to DIY, about 28m2.
In my head, I was going to undercut the skirting using a multi saw. Having Googled it, it seems that it is not likely to present a good finish, and the only way is to remove skirting and replace. The skirting to be undercut is about 13m, plus one door frame . What are the thoughts on that, please?

Thanks

Door frames can be under cut with good outcomes but I would take off the skirt. I am not familiar with LVT but does it need expansion gaps.

Did you mean LVT? Can butt to skirting nothing achieved by undercutting .

I understand an expansion gap is required, and I dont want quadrant adding? Am I mistaken? The wall to wall is about 4 metres

LVT is used to describe a variety of flooring , maybe a link to the type you are fitting?

That type requires expansion gap, though undercutting the skirting won’t enable you to fit in a slim gap due to fitting process , (boards normally lifted to click in place ).
So either trim is used or remove and refit skirting .
