Stripping off wallpaper in the hall...

Snoopy.jpg

Reads, "Snoopy by Anna Ford Age 11 1990. 17/10/90"

On the half landing Mrs Secure uncovered drawings of boy & girl dolls. "How sweet", I thought, until I noticed some had meat & two veg dangling....

All I've uncovered are some scores of darts games written on the walls. From the look of the numbers, the quantity of holes in the plasterwork is now explained.

best one I saw was in the remains of a padded cell   don`t ask  ....it said "re upholstered 1935".........and some wag had put under it .........."closed by know nothing ******s 1986"  that was on the plaster under the padding .....A different location and......another was signed by my great-Uncle :!: and his workmates re- roofing a cottage in 1936.........piece of wood nailed to rafters in roofspace ....I knew he`d worked in the area.....used to build "pillboxes" for the gov. in WW11...........for the "invasion"...should`ve bought one  only way to get affordable housing round here

theres good ones above the suspended ceilings in teh metropole hotel in brighton. Canadian soldiers stayed there during the war and there is some very good and arty graffitti there. Theres also some very good and old stuff in the roof of the grand hotel as well (the bit that survived the bomb)

Never found any scribblings but the best find I ever had was a shed load of wot look like victorian grumble mags under some floor boards in a really old house in odiham

flithy they were ;)

Grumble mags  Did the house belong to Mr. Harold Monk.....a Victorian Welder .....odious in odiham , then
