Ok so I am new to this. Put up a new plasterboard wall round an old chimney breast, taped the joint and filled but couldnt get the joint really smooth so have decided to wallpaper over but the joint is still showing through do I need to go back to the start??
you have a small lump, you cove the small lump with a plaster, then another and another etc, you end up with a hill, because each plaster is covering the one before, all it does is stop you from seeing the lump, it does not remove the lump.
