I recently got a combi boiler fitted and the old back boiler removed. I am wanting to make a kind of feature in the alcove and put power in there. The house is a late 80's 2 bed semi. The chimney has a flexible metal liner installed that is surrounded by what looks like loft insulation. During this horrendous weather for the last few days with excessive I have noticed water dripping into the chimney alcove. On closer inspection this water is not coming down the liner but through the insulation around it.
I was wanting to put power in there for a lamp and board it out but I cannot really do much at all until this is rectified. I was just looking for some advice on how to proceed. Thanks for any help.
