Hi,
Anyone give me advice about putting a unvented hot water tank into a garage?
It’s a typical brick garage attached to the house with no heating.
Plumber has recommended as no where else suitable to put it.
I’m worried about temperatures during the winter and the fact the hot water will lower in temperature in such a cold space compared to the rest of the house.
Thank you !

The hot water pipe should be insulated if going in an unheated area, but I think it’ll be ok. Iirc there should be some frost protection for D1/D2 and other pipework.

If it were mine, id build a cupboard for it, and stick some celotex into the cupboard walls to insulate it. All the pipework would need to be insulated anyway.

That way losses are kept to a minimum.
