I'm hoping someone could help me with a little advice on where it is best to install an indirect, unvented hot water cylinder. My boiler is in the garage attached to the house, which is one possible location and my existing hot water tank (vented) is in a cupboard on the landing, which is the other place to put it. Basically, is there any benefit of having the cylinder upstairs.
Many thanks.

The only consideration is how long a pipe run is it to the taps? It makes no real difference to pressure and flow rate, dependant on pipe size obviously.

Thanks for the advice guys. The vent is far easier to plumb if I put the cylinder in the garage... decision made!
All the best! :D
