Do you need it, or is it upgrade fever?
Ctrl+alt+del and see your actual memory usage in use.
Graphic intensive programmes might need more memory, but then the stock model of that computer doesnt have a dedicated GPU.
If upgrading you would be best buying an identical copy of the 2gb a to take advantage of dual channels.

Hopefully you have vista or later but worth noting that if you have XP it can only utilize 3GB.
