Upper Tyneside Flat rear extension

Does anyone have any experience of extending an upper tyneside flat out to the rear?

Are Tyneside flats different to any other flats in the UK?

i guess not, but they desribe what they are like up here!! a terrace of houses with rear offshoots containing kitchen & bathroom. My client owns the upper flat and want to extend the rear offshoot upto the rear boundary. Now do you have any experience???

Do you mean a typical Victorian terrace with rear wings?

I've only been to the port in Newcastle (if it is a port) so not seen the houses, but can't imagine them being anything special
