UPVC ceiling

Hello All,
I am about to fit a UPVC ceiling, i have done one of these before which was quite successful, i glued it to the ceiling, its the type were the border goes around top of walls to support pvc.

The ceiling i am about to undertake is a false ceiling, with the square panels.
What im thinking of doing is take away the panels so im left with just the frame they went onto, does anyone think it will hold the new pvc ceiling, and has anybody tried this or something similar, cheers

it might not hold the pvc depending on the weight but you could put extra ties to the existing ceiling onto the false ceiling.
