I have barge boards on the 2 gable ends on my bungalow which need replacing. Is this a big job and how long would it take a fascia company to do? I am getting quotes this week and want to estimate labour costs in advance if possible - I have priced up the materials needed.
Thanks.....

You tell me the length of the piece of string, and I'll tell you the size of the job.

For the boards I would need about 15 metres total length - average gables for a bungalow - any ideas how much the job would cost?
I need dark [black or woodgrain upvc] boards as the small development here is like this....and I know it is twice the price of white upvc!

Anything from £0 - £3000 :!: There're rip-off company about so get a few quote.

Sometime work out a lot cheaper if you can find a carpenter and not a company.

And use wood, not this environmental disaster material upvc. Despite what the industry try to pedal, there is no satisfactory way to dispose of the stuff, it's lifetime is short, it is NOT maintenance free.
