uPVC window gap - window dropped

Please see attached pictures. This window seems to have dropped a little and there is a gap at top which lets in a lot of road noise & draught.

The window itself opens & closes perfectly. Windows are in place about 13 years.

Any thoughts on what I need to adjust to seal it up.

On the start adjust the hinges. Should be 3D. 5.5 Alan key. If window works fine don't mess around with the locking system.

3D adjustable friction hinges.....that's a new one

That's an out of date pencil butt hinge found on doors, I wouldn't even call it 3D as it has no up and down adjustment, I digress - The OP has an issue with a window, why are you referencing 'door' hinges, windows usually have friction hinges not butt or 3D flag hinges, your 15 years in the trade should tell you that

No, there is no adjustment on your friction hinges, this needs toe and heeling, look along the bottom of the opener frame and compare the straight edge of the frame to the spacer bar within the glass unit, they aren't running parallel with each other, the glass unit isn't square within the frame, it looks as though it's not been packed (toe and heeled) correctly or even at all, nothing to do with hinges. Also that looks like spectus profile and those beads are a nightmare to remove/prise out, you will scratch them guaranteed, our guys always did but CoCo the clown here had the job of sanding and polishing the scratches out, be warned!

Since when do windows have door hinges fitted, why have you posted a picture of a butt hinge that you fit on doors when the OP is talking about a window, it even says WINDOW in the title. Show me where you adjust a friction hinge with a 5.5 Allen key

That's a bloody tilt and turn window you prick, it opens in, look at the OP's picture, that is not a tilt and turn window its a casement window....the clue is that it opens out duh!

So yes I have just shown you how much I know about windows!

That's a door hinge, it's NOT a window hinge and it's not even a tilt and turn hinge so why you posted a picture of it I don't know, you may as well posted a picture of a lettuce

I guess toeing & heeling will involve opening up the frame with the glass in - is this something which I as a non-window guy could do, or do you recommend calling in the professionals ?

If the beads were easy to get out its easy a diy job but in this case I'd say look for a double glazing doctor or misted unit specialist one man band type set up, doing it is actually straightforward if you watch him, if you did it diy you'd need a selection of glazing packers, a very sharp stiff scraper, plastic hammer and a plastic paddle, wet n dry from 300 to 1200 grit, t-cut and some rags for when you scratch the beads while removing them
