Right I need some help rather quickly with a quick job I've managed to mess up.
Long story short I have had to take me oven (a Hotpoint SY36X) apart to get to the hinges and supports. In the process I've disconnected some of the electrical plugs on the back of the control panel and the temp knob for the grill and now I can't figure out where they need to plug back into.
I have the following loose wires presently
- One brown wire
- One Blue wire
- A second blue wire that has a further connector from the first connector to the next connector
I have the following possible points to connect them:
One the control panel as you look from the back:
- bottom right - L/8
- middle right - one point numbered as N/7 (L1/7) including brackets
- middle left 0 1 and 1a
on the back of the grill knob as you look from the back:
- bottom right - S1
- Just above that - P2
- Top middle - P1
- Bottom middle - PILOT
- Bottom left - S2
I can't even begin to think about the number of possible combinations the four wires could go into the available connections.
Tried googling for diagrams or pictures for the answer with no joy.
Really need someone to help me here. The wrath of the missus is fast approaching!
