use of a multimeter

i do want to learn how to use one of these tools is there a specific book that can help me use on

on boats 12 volt and cars

and on 240 v house

thanks any info would be good and please dont tell me it is dangerous to play with leckky as i know it

As a principal is is the same way that you measure 12V or 230V (remember we talk about 230V in the UK, although you might measure 240V.)
Look at this site: http://www.doctronics.co.uk/meter.htm, might be useful, as well as the multimeter should have a manual where you could find the information you need.

i got me one of them multimeters off a m8 of mine now and there is a manual with it hmmm seemed a bit deep at first then it depends on how far you want to go i spose thanks for the site you sent me
