Hello
Can anyone advise on do's and dont's with this subject. I have bought a narrower radiator which I need too move about 300-400mm. The piping is running vertically inside a plasterboard wall and out above the skirting.
Where would you advise cutting the pipe and would you just use one compression fitting on each side? Is it easy to bend 8mm in a short run as I am concerned about too many joints?
Any advise on draining the combi system as the radiator is in the kitchen downstairs, is it just a question of opening the valves and letting it drain until it stops or do you lock valves upstairs on radiators ?

All advise appreciated.

Regards

A system should be balanced, so it is best to leave the valves alone and just drain the system.
If the current system is already microbore, you might as well keep it. I would not recommend adding microbore to 15mm

8mm is easy to shape but for tight bends which i think you may need you will need a pipe bender or you will kink the pipe......compressions are ok if you don't want to solder
