Currently renovating and extending our house. Had some quotes in for Parex render from approved contractors but my budget is tight. Thinking of getting my plasterer to do the job - he is a quality plasterer and takes time and care to get things spot on. He has done sand and cement render before but never coloured through render.

I know I could save a significant sum by getting him to do it and sourcing the Parex materials myself. I know I won't get the Parex guarantee with it. I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts on whether this is a good idea or whether I will regret not spending the money on an approved contractor.

Thanks.
