Using Cold Tap Turns CH Off

Just fitted Ideal Esprit Eco 30 combi boiler. My first installation. All good except when operating cold tap the boiler thinks there is a brief hot water demand. Can this be cured by simply fitting a check valve on the cold supply into the boiler? Or will this cause excess pressure in the hot water system?
Any advice or other suggestions please.
