Hi,

I have a 10x6' garden shed to put up and plastic shed base from https://www.neatproducts.co.uk/product/shed-base/

I understand for drainage it is best to lay the shed base on a bed of gravel or MOT. I already have a significant amount of crushed slate left over from another project and I am wondering if this will be suitable to put under the base. I have read that slate isn’t ideal as a substrate as it can crush under load, but the shed will only be used for storing the usual garden items, so I don’t expect it to be that heavy.

Please can anyone advise if they have done something similar and if they think the slate will be suitable or not?

Many thanks.
