Hi all

I’m building a new garden retaining wall which will be faced with reclaimed bricks (approx 78mm) and will be blockwork behind.
How can I tie both walls together to create a stronger bond? Can wall ties be used with a bend?

thanks in advance

5 course of brick with 10mm beds will measure 440mm, 10mm less than 2 course of block, you could bed brick up a little and tighten down on block and it will work level. just make sure you place ties every 2nd course of block, doing it this way you won't need to bend ties.

That’s perfect, thanks very much
