I've got some spare timber which is sawn and treated timber which fits perfectly into a gap where my floor problem was (previous post).

Is it ok to use this timber to replace the damaged boards or should I be using prepared softwood for the job?

Carpet is covering the finished job so it wont be seen by the way.

Thanks

flooring is to a standard
sawn treated may or may not be as good
is the sawn not thicker??

It's old imperial measurements so it's always difficult to match it up. This is why I was happy when I discovered the saw treated I had spare was just about perfect.

Just wondered if it was advisable to use it or not.

What you have should work fine if the section matches the imperial T&G.

Note: in your previous post pic, the fungal damaged joist tails sit on a timber plate, plus a certain amount of wood debris can be seen below the joists.

Timber wall plates are notorious for rotting out esp. when ventilation, or a DPC, is absent or limited.

Have you probed and checked the length of any plate set on, or in, the brickwork of your house? What about air bricks?

If any "probeable" plate exists, then it must be cut out. ( We always remove all wall plates, good or bad condition).

All sub-area cellulose (wood) debris must be removed.
