Hello,

I do not need to add inhibitor or anything but I was just wondering how would I be able to add inhibitor in future via the towel rail.

We have a bog standard towel rail like this : http://www.qssupplies.co.uk/images/towelrail_big.jpg

The vent and blank plugs are vertical which I think would be great for pouring in inhibitor using a funnel.

How would you remove the blank plug though?

Does this method seem correct:

1.Partially drain system or at least drain enough water so that the towel rail empties.

2.Close the radiator valves.

3.Remove blank plug.

4.Open one valve to allow air to escape as the inhibitor is added.

5.Pour in the inhibitor using a funnel.

6.Tighten everything up and re open valves.

Then of course I would repressurise the system and bleed as necessary.

Thank you.

Take it out with an adjustable spanner , they usually have a rubber O ring on them so it will seal back in ok
