Plan to tile the floor in a utility room where there is also a washing machine.
Should I be using flexible adhesive for this due to the vibrations from the washing machine ?

wooden floorboards covered with exterior grade plywood.

Out of interest, why is it that the normal adhesive won't work or is it just that this stuff lasts longer ?

I've had mixed success with other brands (Granfix for one) - never had a problem with BAL flexible gear. Of course if you want to use some cheap stuff that's your business. ;)

No, that's fine - I'll use BAL but was just wondering why.
Is it because the floorboards can move over time ?

Also if a 20kg bag covers 4m2 how much flex grout should I get?
...just a 10kg bag?

No it's cause the floorboards move all the time. ;)
It depends how big your tiles are and what grout space you leave as to how much grout you use. Working on 13" x 13" tiles and leaving a 5mm grout joint, you'd be looking at about 7 square metres per 5kg bag (if my memory serves me correctly).
