We are getting quick step LVT installed in our utility room.

We are now panicking and wondering whether we should've gone with tiling. Isn't a washing machine too heavy to be resting on this floor? Won't vibrations cause issues? Also if there's a leak the water can technically get trapped under the boards and it will be difficult to detect this problem. Is it not worth the stress and should we just order some last minute tiles?

Mines fine, only on the front to save tiles. A leak will usually become apparent before any serious damage is caused.

I laid my LVT right under the washing machine. It replaced the laminate that had been there for more than 15 years. No problems.
