V4073A Mid position valve Motor stays hot

Honeywell mid position valve V4073A motor stays hot after timer switches off.
When used just for HW switches off ok when running CH on programmer when it switches off motor stays hot if you switch power off and back on it seems to reset the motor and cools down.I have changed the valve four times in 10 years.Programmer is a potterton mini minder no room stat cyl stat honeywell suspect its been wired wrong Please help
