My friend has just had a problem diagnosed on his vailant vcw 221 boiler. A corgi registered engineer carried out several tests and came to the conclusion the microswitch that the diaphram pushes against when selecting hot water over heating has gone and needs replacing. I have been asked to replace it for him and was just wondering how easy a job it is and could I ask if any one has any tips.
