Thanks for your reply

Is the auto air bleed nr the pump?

What do you mean by vented pump?

Thanks

The only thing we turned off was the water and electricity mains.

Is the isolater the shutdown switch if not what does it look like?

Is there a number I can call you on?

grey knob[/quote]

Just read the grey knob bit

Is that behind the heat exchanger?

By the way the heat exchanger is not heating up either but all the pipes leading to it and pump is hot.

Kev

The cold water shut off valve is fully open, still NO water in hot water tap

if there is no water coming out of the boiler there is no water going in

go over what you have done

you have refilled the systen etc so you must have cold water at least to the filling loop

the central heating is workin(HOT). pipes heating up. but the pipe connected to that is only warm the other end goes into the heat exchanger.

Refill the system - water pressure filled back upto 2

Thanks for everyone's help.

Put the old diverter valve back in and now have water.

Is the NEW diverter valve faulty
