Hi there,

Does the Vaillant 600 series come with a built in filling loop?

The reason for asking is because I have seen two installations so far that have an external filling loop.

David, a system boiler, as in the 600 series, won't have a built in filling loop, because there is no cold mains at the boiler to connect to as with a combi.

The pro versions are just cheap and cheerful boilers designed primarily for Vaillant to get a foothold in the new build market.

Some manufacturers, like Broag, supply and external filling loop as part of the package, others such as Vaillant don't

Doh! silly me.

In Germany the 600 series can be bought with an internal diverter, like the Viessmann 200 series and Worcester (Junkers) 30CDi.

When it has an internal diverter fitted you get the neat internal filling loop just like the Vaillant 8 series, but this is not a supported option for the UK home market 6 series derivative.

That sounds good, does this type of system give priority to hot water?

For example, if both hot water and heating are calling for heat, which call for heat will the boiler respond to first?

priority is giving to hw in almost all cases. Some systems allow you to change priority, but can't imagine why you would bother with a high recovery cylinder.
