Hi I'm new to this so bear with me.

I have a Vaillant 828E combi boiler Central heating operations seam to work fine but when hat water is required for the showers the temperature goes up to about 70 degrees then the burner shuts off for about 5 seconds and the temperature drops by about 5 degrees. then the boiler ignites again and the same thing happens again and again.

one more thing is that the water does not seam to get Very hot.

Not enough water going through the boiler, or a blockage somewhere I would say.

You will need to say whether this is a new installation, or has it gone faulty?

If its a new installation, then you need to contact your installer to get it put right, assuming that the flow was calculated properly before the boiler was installed.

Once you provide this information, I am sure that one of the professionals here would point you in the right direction.

Sounds like a blocked plate heat exchanger!
