Can anyone Help?
18 months ago I had a Vaillant Ecotec Plus 618 system boiler, Honeywell ST9420c programmer and Center motorised valves fitted. The system works fine in the summer months when it is mainly just hot water used, but when the heating is in use often (winter) the Honeywell programmer loses the date and time setting, so the heating and water go off at ramdom times. This can happen when I am at home or everyone's out, and there is no patterm I can discern, and sometimes it can go off two or three times a day.
The control unit has been replaced a few times, but the problem still occurs. At one time I had two identical control units and plugged one in and ran it alongside the fitted one - the fitted one went to reset and the other one did not. Tried changing them around with the same result.
I also tried fitting ferrites to valves, boiler and anything I could think of with a motor (fridge, freezer etc), but it made no difference.
Can anybody help with any advice or suggestions as to why this is happening?
Many Thanks.
