Hi,
I topped up my CH system pressure last night and when I closed the CH return valve it began to drip from the valve screw that operates the valve. I have removed and flushed the valve but the drip continues. The boiler is a Vaillant Combi. The valve clips into boiler on one side and then has a screw on top. It operates on a 1/4 turn.
I have found some vaillant valves that seem the same and I have some questions. Does this valve need to be 'non-return' and should thi relatively simple valve really cost me £25-35? Is there any way to fix the drip short of replacing the valve? Also, the brass screw head on the valve is getting quite chewed up over time. Is there a way I can replace it with a lever valve?
Would this one fom ebay work OK?
