vaillant combi - no hot water

Hi - hope you can help:

Vaillant combi - heating fine, pressure 1.5 bar. Flow flight flashes and boiler temperature rises when hot water tap turned on, but water is luke warm at best. This has been an intermittent problem for several days which now seems permanent.

What do you suggest I do? (apart from call a plumber )

Which model is it ?, it may be one of the dry pocket thermistor models you could swap to test.

It's a Vaillant Turbo Max 8285.
