Hi i am really worried about my boiler, the heating did not come on this morning. It seems that the problem is caused by the pressure in the boiler - currently at 2.7 bar

this happened because of that F.75 fault, where i had to increase the pressure, but over did it.

is there any advise on how to get the pressure down to a 'normal' level.

no water is comming out of the outside pipe. i can run hotwater, but in the meantime swithched off the central heating.

Under the boiler on the ch flow or return isolating valves, there is a drain off.

A square 'nut' that takes a 7mm spanner. Undo this and drain into a bowl.

F75 is not a low pressure fault. It is the usual faulty pressure sensor that plagues vaillants.

This needs to be at least removed and cleaned , or preferably replaced under warranty.

F22 is low pressure.

Don't get too worried about the high pressure as the boiler has safety pressure relief valve that will discharge any 'over pressure', about 3 bar usually. You will find a copper pipe that leads outside, that is the pressure relief pipe.

Thanks for the advice i will give this a try,

so do you think it would be safe to turn on the heating again?

My boiler is no longer under warranty, is it going to be expensive to replace that sensor, i obviously dont want to worry about this all the time, as it's the second time that the F.57 fault came up.

For me to do this it would be £60 plus part, plus VAT.

Don't know what charges are like in your area.
