I noticed the central heating didn't kick in earlier, when checking it I found it had tripped the main fusebox. Turned the fuse back on ok but the heating isn't working and there is no display on the boiler. The wall plug is lit up ok but changed that fuse just incase and still no joy. Is there anything else I can try before having to call someone out tomorrow?

If you have a two pole voltage indicator or multi-meter, you could test if power is actually going to the boiler at the internal L-N-E terminals.
If you don't have power there then there is something wrong with the upstream electrics. If you do have power than it is possible that an internal fuse has blown, there could be a good reason for this, so then I would recommend calling an engineer.

You must use a two pole/probe tester, not a no contact pen/stick or test screwdriver, as these will not indicate neutral faults and can give misleading results.

There are two fuse holders on the PCB both hold small glass fuses and are marked F1 and F2, it sounds like one of these has blown, the fuses will be rated and the rate will be marked on the fuse, if you are competent with electronics you can try swapping the blown fuse and if it blows again then you will need an engineer to identify which component is causing the fuse to blow, DO NOT fit a higher rated fuse.

Should not be opening the room sealed boiler for DIY repairs though.

If a fuse has blown then that's usually as a result of an overload.

Most often the pump.
