Hi,

I have the above boiler installed around 3 years ago. It's been running fine with no issues.

However, this morning, water pressure from all taps, shower, etc. is very low. The heating seems to come on fine this morning. I tried turning the heating off and then running the taps (not an issue before) but no joy.

I checked the bar reading and it was reading 1.8 after I turned the heating off.

I have checked that water is not escaping through the 15mm copper pipe that goes from the boiler out through an external wall and none seems to be although it was raining this morning so can't 100% sure there isn't a small drip.

What could be causing this?

Many thanks in advance.

Chris

How are you measuring the pressure from the taps?

Or do you really mean the flow rate?

Tony

That's just telling you the system pressure in the boiler, nothing to do with the pressure at your tap outlets.
Have your cold taps lost pressure as well?

Sounds very similar to phonecall I had the other night.

Customer - Mike I've got a problem with the boiler, it's not giving me hot water
Me - What the water is cold
Customer - No, there is no water coming out of hot tap
Me - Did you check the cold tap
Customer - Err no

Severn Trent had shut off the water to the next village because of a major leak.
