Vaillant refill loop

Hi,

I’ve had issues with my vaillant boiler, the cold water refill is constantly running, so the boiler is over-pressured and is dumping water outside. In a third floor flat, this is annoying my downstairs neighbors. In a previous flat, I was able to open and close this, but the toggle on this one has come off and don’t know where I need to try and turn to stop the cold water constantly filling

Can anyone advise?

There's usually a valve at both ends of the filling loop, so you can turn both off and disconnect one end of the flexi when not in use (some boilers have rigid pipe, but still 2 valves).
But I can only see one on your pic 1. I would guess the mains pipe is the one to the left. The valve is on the right, it's a 1/4 turn valve. If the lever has disappeared you might be able to turn it with a spanner, otherwise need to replace it. You might have to buy a complete valve, but they're not expensive.
