Vaillant Thermocompact Boiler 628E

My Vaillant Thermocompact Boiler 628E, shows the error message 5.33 (maybe S.33).

I rang Vaillant technical Dept yesterday who said it was the air pressure switch and I bought one for £40 & changed it myself.

Guess what- it is still showing the same error code!

Can someone help as its Bank Holiday Friday and my 3 children are freezing!!

It will be S33.

This is telling you to check the air/flue system, which should only be carried out by an RGI.

Tech may have misheard you and thought you said F33, which could be the aps.

By the way there is no heat coming out of the vent

Unfortunately no. The flue being fitted correctly is critical to you and your families safety and this could mean that you have to dismantle it.

This will also involve removing the combustion chamber door which is also RGI territory.

Any idea how much this will cost to repair - both worst (with part -flue?) and best case scenario.

Haven't a clue is the honest answer, other than I charge £60 +vat for the first hours attendance.
